Wedding Photography on Maui

I have spent lots of time in and around the business of weddings.

My mother was previously a top destination wedding planner in the US Virgin Islands for over 25 years. She was the founder and previous owner of Island Style Weddings in St. John, US Virgin Islands. I watched my mother build her wedding planning business from the ground up, having no prior experience in the industry.

I assisted her in all aspects of the business on the day of the wedding: setting up and breaking down wedding events, acting as the legal witness on the marriage certificates for couples eloping to the US Virgin Islands, training with her wedding photographer of choice in the US Virgin Islands, falling in love with wedding photography and eventually starting my own photography business offering this service.

I love shooting weddings! I always have loved being a part of the wedding day.

There is so much excitement around the day, everyone is dressed beautifully and looking sharp, there is much planning and design that goes into the big day, and I fall in love with all the wedding moments of the day - from the vow exchanges, tears from parents, the groom’s smile when he has a first look of the bride, flower girls giving me their best twirls, getting ready with the bridesmaids over appetizers and champagne, and more.

I’ve been a part of all the wedding moments with the bride, groom, family and friends on the big day and it is always a true honor to be brought into such a special and personal time in their lives. I feel like part of the family after the day is through.
