Whale watching in Maui, Hawaii

Seeing the whales in Maui is one of my favorite activities. These creatures are so huge that they make me feel humble and awe-struck. They come all the way from Alaska to mate and give birth in Maui's safe waters, where no predators threaten their young. Then they go back to their cold home, a journey that takes them four to six weeks each way. I admire their strength and beauty in the ocean. Here are some photos I took on my visit whale watching tour in Kihei, HI. We took the redline rafting tour which leaves from the Kihei boat ramp - we chose the 7am slot to have calmer waters.
